BPMS Developer

Job Description

Overview We are looking for a Senior PHP & JavaScript Developer to join our Systems & Methods team. This role is ideal for a developer who loves solving complex business challenges with clean code and is curious about business process automation (BPMS). You will use your expertise in PHP, SQL, and JavaScript to build and integrate robust back-end solutions, create intuitive user interfaces, and optimize workflows. If you already have experience with ProcessMaker or BPMN 2.0, great — if not, we will provide the training you need to become a process automation expert. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on coding with process design thinking — shaping how our organization works while writing high-quality, production-grade code. Key Responsibilities Core Development Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs using PHP (preferably with Laravel or Symfony). Write optimized SQL queries to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability. Build and customize JavaScript-driven front-end components (Vanilla JS, ES6+, jQuery) for forms, dashboards, and interactive workflows. Integrate the BPMS platform with ERP, Finance, and Warehouse Management systems. Refactor and optimize code for long-term maintainability and security. Process & Workflow Implementation Model and implement workflows using BPMN 2.0 standards (training provided if needed). Customize approval flows, forms, and user interfaces for better usability. Support process owners in translating business requirements into digital workflows. System Stability & Support Monitor logs and process execution daily to ensure uptime and accuracy. Troubleshoot and resolve bugs across development, staging, and production environments. Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team. Requirements Must-Have Skills & Experience 5+ years of professional PHP development experience (object-oriented programming, MVC frameworks). Strong JavaScript skills (Vanilla JS + experience with a framework such as Vue, React, or Angular is a plus). Proficient in SQL (joins, indexing, query optimization). Experience designing and integrating REST APIs. Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows. Nice-to-Have / Willing-to-Learn Knowledge of ProcessMaker or other BPMS tools. Experience with BPMN 2.0 workflow design. Exposure to AI-powered automation, process mining, or data-driven optimization. Soft Skills Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Strong problem-solving ability and curiosity for improving processes. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Eagerness to learn new tools and contribute to business process innovation.
