Job Description
List of responsibilities: • Ensure that all maintenance-related procedures are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with the regulations of the company and accordingly with good engineering practices
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor in all aspects of maintenance, repair procedures and future plans for avoiding delay risks imposed by the breakdown of equipment features
- Integrate and carry out a preventative maintenance program accordingly with Client and Company requirements and as the Maintenance Supervisor directs him to
- Ensure that there are enough tools, consumables and parts for the maintaining of the equipment.
- Supply the necessary data for updating of sketches, drawings etc.
- Report to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor for misuse of equipment
- Take proper care of all rig instruments and tools
- Be abreast of proper electrical safety regulations and wear safety clothing at all times as well as use safety equipment in order to reduce any risks of serious injuries.
- Assist in ensuring that all electrical systems and related equipment are maintained, serviced and tested in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations, the electrical standards and good industry practice.
- Ensure that all personnel working under him, work in a safe manner where all PPE and safety procedures are implemented and followed.
- To be responsible for ensuring that the relevant requirements of the Management System are used as the term of reference for his work.
- Assist in carrying out inspections, maintenance and testing in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance Management System and the Chief Electricians instructions.
- Report immediately to the Chief Electricians all findings of conditions, which violate the hazardous integrity of electrical installations or the operability of equipment.
- Always keep the Chief Electricians informed of the operational status of electrical equipment and systems.
- In co-operation with the Chief Electricians, specify spares required in stock within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure that safety regulations are complied with and that appropriate personal protective means are available and used by the personnel assigned.
- Work according to and promote Company’s Drilling’s HSE Policies and Procedures as well as fully commit to preventing any damage to the environment.
- Responsible and accountable to conduct their tasks in full compliance with Company’s Drilling Limited procedures.
- Comply with Company’s Drilling procedures for management of risk and Safe Behavior Program; ensuring that a suitable and sufficient risk assessment is carried out for all work activities.
- Participate in the STOP system, complete and submit cards after discussions. Monitor and coach crew members to participate in STOP and carry out STOP audits.
- Ensure work site is safe and that all tools used are in a satisfactory condition.
- Ensure that storage, handling and use of chemicals are done in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure equipment is secured to prevent movement due to wind or rig motion.
- Ensure familiar with correct use, type and location of all Oil Spill Equipment.
- Comply with Company’s Drilling’s waste segregation policy.".
Reporting to: Chief Electric.
Working hours: 12 hours per day, rotationally (14* 14)(28* 28).
Travel requirements: at least once a month.
Requirements
- University Qualifications: At least Associated degree in Electronic. - Other certifications obtained: Huet-Bosiet. - Nature and length of previous experience: 6 years of related experience. - Soft Skills and Personality traits: Team work, adaptability, working far from family, work in tough weather.
