Job Description
IMS Officer ensures the attainment of the Integrated Management System certification based on the roadmaps for the IMS covering Environment, Occupational Health & Safety aligned to the internationally recognized managements systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) & HSE.
• Preparing the organization required documents to receive the IMS Certificates.
• Maintaining ISO certification status through the surveillance audits and recertification audits.
• Internal Audits of the IMS & following through with corrective actions.
• Training and creating IMS awareness through the company operations.
• Revising of the IMS Documents to meet latest ISO releases of the three management systems.
• Ensuring the deployment and performance of all related components into one system for easier management and operations covering Environment, and Safety Management systems which have been combined and managed as an IMS.
• Working with Plant Managers and their Management Teams to ensure ongoing compliance and audits, elevating of standards and appropriate training of personnel are established and deployed.
• Responsible for the coordination of the company environmental and safety program to maintain statutory compliance to the prescribed legal requirements.
• Conduct trainings and supplementary audits of the management system certification, including the execution of related policies and procedures, to ensure compliance to workplace safety, health and environment standards and its requirements.
• Prepare Standard Operating Procedures and other system requirements in consultation with the various departments, recommend improvement to existing procedures and standardizes forms used in preparation to and as a requirement for System certification
• Check the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and the implementation of existing policies and procedures necessary for the attainment of company objectives
• Promote awareness to all individuals of the organization on the IMS Standards and other existing policies and procedures of the company thru trainings and presentations
• Update and maintain the HSEQ Page in the Intranet
• Maintain and control records and documents of the HSEQ Department
Requirements
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent. • Must have at least 4 year(s) of working experience as IMS Officer , integrating the three management systems of Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety, HSE. • Flexibility in communication requirements (i.e. must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with people from any position in the organization. • Good analysis of issues and concerns and systematic formulation of organizational systems and procedures • Check and balance the procedures in the organization thru regular audits and inspections • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English. • Must possess enthusiasm and initiative, must be able to prioritize and should be well- organized. • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in MS Office applications • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to identify critical instructions.
