Job Description
We are looking for a sharp “Linux specialist” to support our Linux operating system, in Sigma ITID. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the infrastructure; also, collaborating with other team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes. As an integral part of the team, you are expected to make every problem of the platform a problem of your own, and solving them accordingly.
Duties and responsibilities
• Installation, configuration, optimization, debug, and securing the Linux operating system as well as all related services
• Optimize and automate both the Linux maintenance procedures and Linux services through Linux scripting (bash) and configuration management tools
• Transparent documentation and keeping the record of activities
Requirements
• 5+ years of approved experience with the Linux Operating System • LPIC1-LPIC2 professional certificates or any approved equivalent criteria • Strong grasp on Linux OS commands • Experience implementation, debug, and maintenance of both the core Linux OS and its different services • Experience with Package Management tools, and Shell Scripting • Proficient with Linux OS and its services security • Familiarity with Open Stack • Hands-on experience with Configuration Management, namely Ansible • Ability to think innovatively in Linux management • Problem solving and solution providing • A team player • Fluent comprehension of professional English context • A determined, hard-worker, disciplined, and responsible person working flat out to come up with a solution
