Research & Development Geophysicist

Job Description

We are seeking for motivated research geophysicist(s) to join our multi-disciplinary team (including geophysicists and geologists) in DANA Energy, Geophysical Services for conducting research projects which primarily focus on full seismic stages from acquisition to processing and interpretation, as well as, non-seismic geophysical methods.
Working in R&D Department, the candidate researcher will participate in research projects aiming to recognize and implement novel geophysical technologies and also developing pertinent scripts, software and plugins. Applicant should also have strong research capability to collect required theoretical background for new technologies, as well as currently applied procedures in different geophysical stags.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Developing in-house scripts and software for different disciplines of the geophysical services.
- Conducting comprehensive literature review and preparing supporting theoretical concepts for various geophysical techniques with a problem-solving attitude.
- Incorporate in composing of research and technical papers in an integrated approach.
- Monitoring new and emerging technologies and keep abreast of trending innovations for improving existing techniques, as well as seeking to develop new geophysical methods.
- Preparing appropriate technical reports and presentation for the team, clients and partners.
- Follow up on department’s administrative affairs.
