Job Description
The Laboratory Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the laboratory and its technical team. The Laboratory Manager will be ensuring all services are being complete to 17025 standards, and will be directly responsible for a variety of chemical, mechanical and analytical tests on a diverse range of products.
& also need to ensure the laboratory maintains its ISO 17025 accreditation, and the successful individual will need to have a strong background within this area.
ensuring effectiveness of quality management system and compliance with ISO17025 accreditation
- Overseeing tests done on raw materials and packaging to ensure
standard quality
- Overseeing tests on finished products (chemical, physical, and microbial) to ensure standard compatibility
- Arranging for calibration of lab equipment and ensuring their sound performance
- Answering customer complaints
Overseeing tests in production line
-Set up analysis methods and carry out the validation procedures
Ensure the lab establishes and maintains a calibration program for testing equipment that affect quality results
Manage reporting, monitoring, resources, and laboratory personnel
Modifies Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
University Qualifications: master or doctorate degree of Food industrials A deep understanding of ISO/IEC 17025. - Nature and length of previous experience: Between 5 and 10 years managing of laboratory or quality control in food manufacturing companies - Specialist knowledge: GHP, HACCP - Leadership skill - Planning and organization skills - Communication and interpersonal skills - Problem-solving skills -Teamworking skills - Good numerical skills and an understanding of statistics
