Job Description
- Reviews Vendor/Client's technical documents and requirements.
- Controls subcontracted discipline engineering documents.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical rotary equipment and utility packages
- Prepares the technical documentation for mechanical rotary equipment and package.
- Optimizes mechanical equipment ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance and resolving technical issues with engineering disciplines, client, subcontractors and vendors.
- Evaluation of suppliers and bids, technical clarification, technical bid evaluation and technical support during the order placement, vendor document review, solving supplier related issues and FAT tests
- Prepares specifications for mechanical rotary equipment, such as pumps, air & nitrogen package, crane, chemical injection skid, etc…
- Prepares mechanical data sheets.
- Prepare material requisition.
- Vendor document review.
- Experience of commissioning, troubleshooting
- Prepares material take-off.
- Prepares detail engineering activities (calculation, drawing, technical clarification,…)
- Familiar with materials selection in oil and gas industries and related codes & standards
- Field experience, mechanical completion verification, punch list preparation, pre-commissioning and commissioning checks/tests and site acceptance tests (SAT)
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master Degree in mechanical Engineering. - Minimum 10 years of working experience in mechanical maintenance in oil and gas sector. - Proficient to the codes and standards in the oil and gas industry i.e. API, ISO, BS, NFPA, ASME, NACE, etc. - Technical software such as Autocad, office, etc. - Strong interpersonal skills, a team player and able to work with all levels of management.
