Job Description

We are looking for a Product Owner to organize, prioritize and assess work for our scrum team.
Responsible for vision of what to build, and conveying that vision to the scrum team, in part through the product backlog, which is a prioritized features list for the product, and execution of the strategy.
The Product Owner has a significant role in quality and is empowered to accept user stories as completed. This role has significant relationships outside the local team, including working with the product manager to prepare for the PI Planning event. This role is responsible for supporting one or more teams within the organizations Agile Release Train, and ensuring the pipeline (backlog) stays full and is prioritized. This role acts at the team level.

Requirements

- Groom and prioritize backlog - Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap - Develop user stories and define acceptance criteria - Set sprint goals - Write acceptance tests - Plan releases and upgrades - Follow progress of work and address production issues during sprints - Analyze preferences and requests of end users - Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback - Able to get input from stakeholders like customers, end-users, team, managers, etc. - Able to articulate requirements and decisions to help build a better product - Able to align teams on product vision, release goals - Process-focused individual with cross-functional application knowledge and proven experience driving results in agile environment - Analytical mindset, holistic view and thinking - Trained in Kanban and/or Scrum, and PO practices - Possess a set of attitudes and beliefs that support an agile work environment - Cultivate high performing teams - Prior experience successfully managing cross-functional technology projects - Strong project management and organizational skills - Results-oriented with demonstrated ability to deliver results in a timely fashion - Ability to apply creative and strategic solutions to solve business challenges, to develop new ideas and to gain buy-in - Ability to show initiative with minimal guidance - Creative thinker willing to consider various solutions to a problem - Flexibility to handle rapid change and multiple tasks at once - Precise attention to detail Qualifications Experience - 5-7 years of product owner experience; 3 years of related experience with technology interface and agile experience - BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field - Knowledge of Bourse will be a plus; - Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle - Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies - Team spirit and good communication abilities - Product Owner of multiple applications or teams in disparate trains - Able to construct/prioritize a multiple team backlog with significant collaboration from IT, Business and Agile leadership - Facilitates multiple team level events Soft Skills and Personality traits: - Analytical mindset, holistic view and thinking - High skill in solving problems and providing optimal solutions - Participate in teamwork - Discipline and professional ethics. - Assist software personnel in handling project related work and other requirements - Coordinate with other software professionals and developers - Strong attention to detail
