Job Summary:

The Area Sales Supervisor reporting to the Country Sales Manager, will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations of the company in a particular region. The Area Sales Supervisor will ultimately ensure that the area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to our company’s success in the long run.

Responsibilities:

• Creating regional sales plans in alignment with the company business objectives and goals
• Responsible for reporting regional sales results and individual performances
• Fore casting semester sales, analyzing sales figures, developing sales strategies and setting targets for individual representatives and team
• Identifying hiring needs, selecting and training new sales people and staff
• Preparing and reviewing the semester budget for the region of responsibility
• Analyzing regional market trends and discovering new opportunities for growth thus keeping up to date with the product and competitors
• Monitoring the team’s performance and motivating them to reach targets
• Addressing potential problems and suggest prompt solutions pertaining the region of responsibility
• Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition by allocating areas to sales representatives
• Suggesting new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction
• Assessing and servicing existing customer needs and possibly dealing with some major customer accounts, providing assistance and information on products to build product trust relationship with customers.
• Collecting customer feedback and market research, resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions with management, directing them to the depot and thus maintaining a good customer care.
• Monitoring competition by gathering current market information on pricing, ways to improve sales products, new products then make recommendations to management.
• Maintaining a professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, trainings and establishing personal networks.
• Contributing to sales team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and any other duty that may be assigned by the Marketing Manager/Country Sales Manager

Requirements

Required Knowledge/Experience/Job Qualifications: Knowledge, Skill and Ability: • Excellent sales and management skills • Product knowledge and good business sense • Ability to motivate and lead a high performance team • Initiative and enthusiasm • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators • Excellent communication and people skills • Good planning and organizational skills • Ability to work calmly under pressure • Good IT and report writing skills • Able to speak many languages • Customer service • Good presentation skills and self confidence • Client relationship and problem solving attitude • Motivation for sales • Availability to travel as needed Education and Formal Training: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, commerce, International Business, Economics with a major/concentration in Marketing and any other related field • Familiarity with CRM software Experience: • 3-5 years as an Area Sales Manager or similar senior sales role in industrial sales commodities
