Job Description

List of responsibilities:
- Basic Design, detailed design & selection & prepares specifications (e.g. preparing NPSH and power calculations and report sheets) for mechanical rotary equipment such as pumps, gear units, etc.
- Having theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanical rotary equipment (specially Pump & Gearbox) and utility packages
- Prepares the technical documentation for mechanical rotary equipment and packages.
- Reviews Vendor/Client's technical documents and requirements.
- Controlling subcontracted discipline engineering documents.
- Preparing technical proposals as per clients’ material requisitions (such as datasheets, specifications, BOM, MTO, etc.)
The following items will be as option
- Experience of rotary machine inspection & related tests especially for Pumps & Gear units.
- Reporting to: Engineering Manager .
- Length of Probation Period: 3 Month.
- Working hours: Sat-Wed: 8:00 – 17:30 .
- Travel requirements: Occasionally.

Requirements

- Having minimum BSc. degree in mechanical Engineering from reputable Governmental Universities - Minimum 3 years of related experience - Highly Familiar with Pumps & special purpose gear units - Experience in installation, pre-commissioning & commissioning & troubleshooting - Highly Familiar with API standards (i.e. API 610/613/682) - Highly familiar with API 610, 682, 613, 670, 614,671, 684 and other international standards related to centrifugal pumps & special purpose gear units. - Familiar with related software e.g. Office, AutoCAD etc. - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Self-driven and detail-oriented Responsible & well-organized - Field experience, mechanical completion verification, punch list preparation - Experience in Balancing and Vibration Issues - Problem-solving ability - Good report writing skills - Excellent Teamwork skills - Familiar with tendering procedures i.e. TBE. - Familiar with materials selection in oil and gas industries and related codes & standards
